I draw music.
Below you’ll see several pen abstractions of live and recorded music: The process begins as a frenetic seismograph of the sound, followed by elaborate rotating Rorschachs of thickening pen strokes until all cravings cease. Called ‘audiographs,’ they are postcards of moments in time, most often from live jazz shows with occasional songwriters in the fold. Most pieces are 5”x7” but some traverse onto larger paper.
